Beth Anne McAllister Welsch of Coatesville, PA entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Philadelphia. She was born in Upper Darby, PA, daughter of the late Paul Jr. and Jean Rogers McAllister and stepdaughter of Kathryn Welsch McAllister.

She was the wife of Lawrence “Larry” Welsch. Beth had a passion for people with disabilities. She was a supervisor at Handi-Crafters in Thorndale for 18 years. She loved her work and the people she served. The clients and the staff will deeply miss her.

As a young adult she worked at the family deli, PJ’s in Pomeroy. Beth/Mommom loved baking, doing crafts, sewing, making holiday decorations, walking on the farm, taking care of the hunting dogs, cheering on local sports teams and being with her family.

She was famous for making delicious homemade candy and cookies. She is survived by her husband, Larry, daughters Jeanna (Randy) Simmons of Atglen, Laura (Bryan) Lowe of Lititz, grandchildren, Olivia Simmons, Carson, Aaron and Weston Lowe, brothers Paul (Janet) McAllister, Roger (Bridget) McAllister. She has numerous nieces and nephews. Her twin sister, Joanne Jumper, predeceased her. Beth’s Life Celebration will be Saturday, January 25 th at 10:00 am at Freedom Life Church, 789 Gap Newport Pike, Atglen, PA. with a reception to follow at Freedom Life.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Handi-Crafters (HCOC) 215 Barley Sheaf Road, Thorndale, PA 19372 or do something kind for someone else in her name.

We will miss this kind-hearted woman with the generous spirit.  She made us smile with her laughter, treats, and handmade gifts. Beth truly enjoyed making others happy and she will be remembered fondly.
