Elaine Winecoff Lantz Pickering, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday March 15, 2024 after a brave struggle with Lymphoma.
Elaine graduated from Octorara Area High School in 1963, and was working in the Chester
County Commisioners Office when she met and married the love of her life, Norman Pickering.
She was full of life and enjoyed bicycling, skiing, traveling around the country in their camper
bus; and of course golfing.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Norman Pickering; two sons, Charles Lantz
(Tiffany), Doug Lantz; step-daughter, Terri Cummings (Kevin); one sister, Patricia McFadden
(Tom); seven grandchildren: Brent, Ashley, Nathan, Alexander, Emily, Olivia and Caroline; six
great grandchildren: Ada, Knox, Saylor, Juniper, Liam and baby arriving in April.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mildred WInecoff; brother Robert
WInecoff; and her sons’ father, Charles Lantz.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street Parkesburg, with a visitation beginning at 1:30PM followed by a service beginning at 2:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chester County Hospital’s
Abramson Cancer Center in Elaine’s name.
