Sheridan H. Henderson “Charger”

Sheridan H. Henderson “Charger”, 45, of Parkesburg passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was the husband of Theresa Stern Henderson for over 10 years. They have been together for over 26 years, meeting when Theresa moved to Grant Ave in Downingtown the summer before third grade. Charger used to walk her to school in the morning. They’d have a morning call to say, “Are you ready?” One day Charger threw in a quick “I love you”, at the end of one of those quick conversations. He never stopped telling her he loved her after that. Born in West Chester he was the son of Brenda M. Henderson of Honey Brook and the late Sheridan H. Dickinson.

Sheridan was a graduate of Downingtown High School, class of 1997. He attended the Center of Arts and Technology (Phoenixville Campus), for printing and graphic design. Sheridan completed the Waste Water treatment plant operator program at Reading Community College.

Sheridan worked for Ephrata Borough as a licensed operator in wastewater management. In the past, he worked swing shifts on weekends. He was very happy with his new job at Ephrata Borough. He finally had an all-daylight job with weekends off. It was what he always wanted. Sheridan enjoyed going to work. He was always a wonderful person. Aubree and Madi would tease him for working at a “poop plant.” “It’s a shitty job but someone’s gotta do it” he would say. His girls were his entire world. He was a very proud daddy. They had him wrapped around their little fingers from day one. He never had to raise his voice or even ask them twice when he wanted or needed them to do something. He’d just say “come on girls, teamwork makes the dream work.” After they’d repeat that a few times they’d do whatever their daddy asked. He enjoyed shopping with his girls, at least once or twice a year he would take them to the Disney store and let them pick out whatever they wanted. He looked forward to bringing Madi home new lego sets just so he could immediately sit and do them with her. He loved basketball both watching and playing it and that was something he shared with Aubree. He always told her “Daddy can ball”. He loved Sunday football and was a Baltimore Ravens fan. Charger loved fishing of any kind. Locally he fished the Brandywine for mostly trout. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing. He enjoyed going to Kerr Park to feed the trout at the trout pond. He’d buy trout food just to make sure he was feeding them right.

Sheridan enjoyed watching nature shows, westerns, and horror movies. Since becoming a father his favorite thing to do was just being with his family. Spending time at home or going on adventures. Cuddling on the couch was his favorite evening pastime. He had four fur babies that he loved to hate. Two Dogs Bella and Sophie, and two cats Nala and Simba. He ended up loving the two cats.

Sheridan “Uncle Charger” had many nephews and one beautiful niece that he loved like a daughter. He had many cousins and extended family that will miss him dearly.

Sheridan was the definition of a family man. He was the type of husband and father that every family deserves. He was a kind man that would stop and help anyone in need. The kind of man that opened doors for his wife. A man that was loved by so many.

He is survived in addition to his wife and mother by twin daughters: Aubree Ann and Madison Marie Henderson of Parkesburg, and two Siblings: Stephanie Jackson of Birdsboro and Philip Dickinson of Coatesville.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Monica Smith and Kevin Dickinson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 10 AM until the start of the service. Interment will directly follow at Green Mount Cemetery in West Chester, PA.
