Deborah Ann Weaver, 64, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  She was the beloved wife of Benjamin F. "Chip" Weaver for over 40 years. Born on April 13, 1957 in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Peppernick Zomolski.

Debbie was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High and was a member of Saint Herman’s of Alaska Orthodox Church in Shillington, PA. She dedicated her career to working in healthcare, with over 20 years in Human Resources at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, prior to which she served 22 years at Brandywine Hospital.

Debbie’s greatest happiness came from her family. She took an active role in her family’s life whether as a “band mom” traveling and volunteering with the Coatesville Red Raider Marching Band, supporting the church and its youth groups or co-owning Chip’s Towing Service. In more recent years, Debbie could be found camping in her motor home, antiquing, collecting Barbie memorabilia, fostering puppies, and spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Her favorite moments were having her sons and grandchildren chaotically running through the house or simultaneously tearing open Christmas presents. Debbie will be remembered most for the endless love and support she offered to family, friends and coworkers, as well as her chocolate chip cookies and potato salad.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, B.F. Michael (Anne) Weaver of Wernersville, Jonathan (Christina) Weaver, David (Dana) Weaver, and Alexander J. Weaver all of Coatesville, and grandchildren Chase, Emma, Brandon, David, Daniel, Sophie and Luke.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Jonny Zomolski.

A viewing will be held at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church 399 Charles St. Coatesville from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021. An Orthodox Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am followed by interment at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. To honor Debbie’s memory, flowers can be sent to the church or memorial donations can be made to A Place For All Animal Rescue, Inc (www.aplaceforall.org).

My sincerest sympathies to you and your family. Debbie was a dedicated, knowledgeable, and highly respected employee whose presence brought sunshine from the time she came in until the time she left each day. She cheerfully decorated our service area each holiday and her office was filled with pictures of her family which made her beam when talking about them. Her presence will be deeply missed moving forward and she has left a void which can't be filled. I wish her peace in heaven and I am sending healing prayers to her family. Sincerely, Ronelle Mihok

I am deeply saddened by your loss.  Debbie was a colleague and friend for many years.  If it wasn't for her, I would not have had the opportunity to work in Human Resources at both Brandywine Hospital and at the VA Medical Center.  She will be missed!  Praying for you all.

My sincerest condolences to the Weaver Family.  My thoughts and prayers are to you during this most difficult time.  Debbie was such a pleasure to work with.  I had nothing but the utmost respect for her and I knew I could count on her for any oddball HR question I may have had.  In turn she would always reach out to me whenever she needed any kind of computer assistance and I would always be sure to provide my best white glove service.  She will be sorely missed by her VA family.  May god keep you and watch over you.   --Kevin

I am so heartbroken to hear of this news.  You were always the go to and sometime to just drop by and say hello because you were always so wonderful to talk to. I also liked talking to you about family (yours and mine) because family meant everything to you.

Our prayers are with you and your family during these times of need.

Dear Chip & Family, Tim & I want you to know we are deeply sorry for your loss. Debbie was a wonderful person. I relied on her HR knowledge many times.  I loved talking with her about our kids when they were in the band, and then following each other as our children married and we had grandchildren. Anyone who knew her, knows she put her family first.  Please know we are lifting you up in prayer for comfort and peace.

May you Rest In Peace Debbie.

My deepest sympathy to your family. This is such a great loss for your family and your work family. Even though we have only worked together for 2 years, it seemed like we knew each other forever. We instantly clicked and worked so well together!  I will miss you and all of our crazy calls and messages. Thank you for being my mentor and my friend.

As we honor Deb on this day, words cannot describe the generosity and genuine caring that Deb gave to all. She was sincere in her actions of helping others with problems or challenges with a "see if we can fix that now" attitude and thoughtful words! We will miss her dearly. Rest in peace and Gods comfort. Sincerely, Mark

Weaver family,
So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Weaver always treated me like I was one of her own kids, (which she did with all the band kids). I basically lived at the Weaver house during high school. She was the nicest and sweetest lady. I remember going over after I had Easter with my family and she would have an Easter basket ready for me. The world lost the most caring woman.

Sorry for your loss again,

Jeremy Vargas

Every summer when I was a little boy,  we would dress up in our Sunday best, and my uncle would pack my grandparents, mother, and sister in his old Studebaker for a daylong trip to the Zomolski's in the country.  While the old people gathered in the house and spoke in tongues so us kids wouldn't know what they were talking about,  a little bare-foot girl took us around the barnyard and introduced us to each cow by name.   While we carefully tip-toed around the cow paddies so as not to mess up our shiny city slicker shoes, the bare-foot little girl gleefully sloshed through the barnyard.  God speed Little Debbie.

Debbie and Chip were our neighbors and landlords for 8 years back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.  Couldn’t have asked for two better people to live that close to.  I remember Debbie sitting  in our rocker holding our newborn daughter the day we brought her home.  She was such a good person.  I laugh to myself when I think about the time we had a bird in our house and Chip and me couldn’t catch it.  Debbie came in like a freight train and pushed us both out of the way, and captured the bird in seconds.  Chip, Michael, Jonathan, David, and Alex, I’m so sorry for your loss.  RIP Debbie.

Condolences to Debbie's Family. I remember her as a Super Band Mom.

Debbie helped me on innumerable occasions with her advice on navigating the many paths that the VA had to offer over the years. I was greatly saddened to hear of her passing so close to her well earned retirement that she had worked so hard for counseling most of the Coatesville VA Staff on matters of their own retirement years among other issues. My Wife and I made a donation to "A Place for All Animal Rescue, Inc." in her Memory. Our Condolences to her entire Family over this tragic and devastating loss. Thank you, Deb, for all of your valuable advice over the years. Rest in Peace. God Bless You.

Dear Weaver family.

> My deepest condolences and sympathies.   I have known Debbie for many years at the Coatesville VA and assisted her many times for accounting/purchase card issues.   I will always remember the great advice and wonderful smile/cheerfulness when I stopped by to say hi in H/R team in Coatesville and chat about my travels and her retirement dreams.   She will be truly missed as an friend and colleague.  RIP Debbie.
