Cora Mae Gentile, 85, formerly of Atglen and East Fallowfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at her daughter's home. The daughter of the late Earl and Laura Benner of Westwood, she was the beloved wife of Ray L. Gentile Jr. for 41 years prior to his death in 2014.
A 1953 graduate of the former Scott High School she worked throughout the years in the Coatesville area retiring as a teller from PNC Bank of Thorndale. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking for her family, and traveling in her later years with her husband. But her greatest joys came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her four-legged kids which were always by her side.
She was a member of the Sandy Hill Community Church and the East Fallowfield Historical Society.
She is survived by her sons, Daryl Fling, and wife Tonya, Brian Fling, and Wife Dee, both of Coatesville, daughter Sondra, and husband William of Parkesburg, step-children, Debra Gentile-Wood of Ephrata, David Gentile, and Wife Lyn, of Kirkwood, Deanna Gentile of St. Louis, MO, Donald Gentile, and wife Mary, of Coatesville, seven grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Fling, daughter, Donna Lynn Fling, and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Ann Benner.
There will be a private graveside service scheduled at the discretion of the family with interment following at St. Malachi Catholic Cemetery, Gum Tree. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holisticare Hospice, LLC, 685 Kromer Ave., Berwyn, PA 19312, or the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.

My Greatest Condolences
Mim-Mae was an amazing step grandma to me and my brother Tyler. She always welcomed us warmly into her home with fresh baked delicious Pizzelle cookies when we would visit from out of state.
My heart is with my family during this time.
May she Rest In Peace.

Sincere condolences to the Fling/Gentile family on the passing of your mother Cora. I remember her waiting on me years ago at the PNC in Thorndale. I know she will be missed by all she interacted with through the years. Donna

Condolences
Well, Cora Mae, I guess you just couldn't wait to see our childhood babysitter, "Buller," (Mrs. Miller). She has been gone for a long time now. She loved you very much. When her only son, Milt, died in 1960, you were such a comfort to her. Be sure to listen to her stories--especially the one in your family's pumpkin patch. Tell her it won't be long before I join her so we can sit down and eat strawberries together ! Judi (Hernan) Khan
