Carolyn,

I am so sorry to hear your very sad news concerning Mel. He was indeed a fine person and will be missed, by not only his family and loved ones, but

many others who had the privilege of knowing him, however briefly.  My heart goes out to you on the death of your very good friend and partner.  One can

wait a lifetime to meet someone as confident and as gracious as your Mel.  My condolences to his family, and especially to you.

Love,

Dear Frank, Cyndi and Berni,

I was so sad to hear of Mel's passing.  I have so many happy memories of him.  He was always a kind friendly man.  I loved going to the farm when we were young and he always made me feel welcome no matter what we were doing.  He was a good, good man who was admired by many.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Frank, Berni, Cyndi, Bill, Jessica, Samantha and Curtis,

Although I'm far away in Colorado, you all are in my heart, thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Uncle Mel was such a strong man that many people looked up to including me.  Years ago he offered me his home when I needed a place to stay and that allowed me the chance to get to know him better and spend time with him and my cousin Frank.  Those memories will always be part of me, especially Friday Pizza Night which is still a regular thing for me and started so many years ago at his house. I remember those times like they were yesterday.  He was always there for me when I needed him and he leaves a void that won't be easy to fill. He will be deeply missed.  I know he left a fine legacy and Frank and Curtis will carry it forward in the years to come.  Heaven now has an extra angel to tend it's fields.

Love Always,

Eva Marie

Knowning Melvin for 17 years as a neighbor, brother and mentor has been a blessing. Best neighbor any one could ask for but a better man! Needless to say the "neighborhood will never be the

same". His legacy starts with the name of the road we live on and there is no question that Frank, Cyndi and Carolyn will will continue this legacy that started with father Lloyd and

mother Eva.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Neal Family and Carolyn, Mel loved you very much
