Remembering good neighbors growing up
The Laird family was our "down the lane" neighbor in East Fallowfield and I remember many happy times visiting, playing or attending square dances. Mrs. Laird was always welcoming and usually cooking something good. When the family moved to Parkesburg, I took my mother to visit her friend and they often talked on the phone between visits. At the passing of each of my parents, I received a kind letter of condolence that was much appreciated.
May I now extend my sympathies to your family on the pasing of your mother. May your faith and the thoughts and prayers of friends comfort you at this difficult time.
Love you Mom Mom
Dear Farmily, I love you all. You all are in our thoughts. Praying for all the Aunts and Uncles and cousins who mean so much to me. Mom Mom, you will be missed dearly. You were a wonderful lady and we are proud to be part of your heritage. Love, Kevin.
Dear Family and Friends of Etta Mae Laird:
Dear Family and Friends of Etta Mae Laird:
Our Grandmother's passing is both bitter and sweet. She never missed an opportunity to share her great southern style cooking, express how much she misses seeing family, her love and concern for our health and spiritual relationship with Jesus. You never left her home without feeling loved and deeply cared for, not to mention stuffed full with all of that great food. We are so blessed to know that she got her wish to pass quickly - and so glad that she was with family as she took her last earthly breath and stepped into heaven. Our task now is to pick up her role of encouraging and loving family members, which were her most valued earthly possessions. The only mutual regrets that we have is that we did not visit enough. Until we see her again, we will have to carry her memory and love on to these next generations. She has passed along her beauty, artistic talent and shy but strong southern belle personality.
Personally, I am happy that she is now in the presence of so many family and friends (parents, grandparents, sons and grandchildren) that had gone on before her. We hold on to the faith that she shared that we will soon be reunited with her in the heaven she looked forward to so much.
Sandy and Family,
Sandy and Family,
Sorry for loss. I remember meeting your mother way back when we were in high school Sandy.
