Gail Anne McGinnis Rodgers, 72, of Kennett Square passed away on Monday, April 12 at the Jennersville Hospital of West Grove, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John B. Rodgers, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born on September 3, 1937 in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth McGinnis. She attended both the Parkesburg School and the Parkesburg Methodist Church.

Gail retired from the Mushroom Co-op in Kennett Square after 17 years.

She was a very talented crafter, including embroidery, crocheting and other crafts. Gail also enjoyed reading and puzzles of all kinds.

Gail is survived by her children, Steven Rodgers of Kennett Square, Daniel Rodgers, husband of Paula, of San Jose, Ca., Pamela Chesnet, wife of Michael, of Parkesburg, Cristine Lester, wife of David, of Mapleton Depot, Pa.; grandchildren, Daniel, Steven, Elizabeth, David and Nathan; two great grandchildren and one brother, William E. McGinnis, Jr. of Ephrata. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald McGinnis.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Glen Run Cemetery of Atglen. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 1 until 2 PM.

I was Gail's neighbor for eight years 1993-2000...I am so very sorry for your loss Gail was a kind-hearted person ,,I remember we did not have much when we moved in and Gail so generously gave us a recliner chair. to the family...May you find comfort in knowing she was a wonderful, kind-hearted woman and the she is Resting in Peace with our Lord!!
