Charles L. Clemens, 72, of Cochranville, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Satteson Clemens with whom he shared 35 years of marriage and his first wife, the late Louella Geodecke Clemens who died in 1973. Born in Lewisburg, PA he was the son of the late George C. Clemens and Lillian Kratzer Clemens Wilson.

Charles proudly served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He was employed by Boeing Helicopter in instrumentation retiring in 1999 with 38 years of service. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation Church, a member of the Atglen Sportsmen Club, the NRA and the Knights of Columbus #9727.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by six children; Mary Ann, wife of James Reynolds of Haymarket, VA, Jeanie, wife of Dane Dierwechter of Morgantown. Sherry, wife of Thomas Wood of Smyrna, GA, Wendy, wife of Jeff York of Chicago, ILL., Nancy, wife of Charles R. Salzman of Cochranville and Michael C. Clemens of Cochranville, nine grandchildren and one sister Jeanette Watts of Milton, PA. He was preceded in death by two children; Debbie Nissly and Charles L. Clemens, Jr. and one granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00am from Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. Second Ave. Parkesburg, Pa. 19365. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10am until 11am. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11:00am at the Harmony Cemetery in Milton, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Consolation Church, designated for the Freedom Fund, at the above address.

Dear Nancy & family
I want to wish you all my sincere sympathy in the passing of Charlie. He was always so friendly and nice to me. I am sorry I will not be abel to attend the services. I will keep you all in my Prayers.
