Elmer H. "Buddy" Wallace

Elmer H. "Buddy" Wallace, Jr., 71, of Bowmansville, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Gertrude E. "Trudy" Rhoades, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Elmer H. Wallace Sr. and Eleanor Mullen Wallace. Previously a resident of Gap, Buddy was employed by the former Lukens Steel Co. as a Repairman for 32 years, the Twin Valley School Dist. for 12 years and most recently at the Home Depot. He was a member of the Pequea Presbyterian Church.

Buddy loved trains, playing poker and fixing his son's house.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his daughter, Deborah Czepiel of Coatesville and Chad H. Wallace, husband of Jennifer, of Reinholds; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren and his siblings, Gary Wallace of Gap, Lillian Gill of Gap and Paula Wallace of Kinzers. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffery A. Wallace.

Family and friends are invited to attend Buddy's Graveside Service on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery, 273 Cambridge Road, Gap.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Buddy's memory to the "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital", 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
