Nancy M. Foreman, 72, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at Robert Packer Hospital after a long battle with many physical adversities. Prior to her death, she enjoyed a fabulous weekend of good health, laughs, and memories with her children and several friends. Nancy was born on September 2, 1939, in Pomeroy, PA, the daughter of Malcolm and Elizabeth (Leike) Mulvaney. She was married to John J. Foreman of Parkesburg.


In the 60s, she raced her Corvette in the Powder Puff Races. She worked for the Parkesburg Police Department, where her favorite duty was handing out candy on holidays to every student from Parkesburg Elementary School that crossed her street.  Nancy was a caregiver for many years to her father-in-law, then operated a nursing home out of the family home. She then worked at the Bradford County Manor and Pepper’s Pantry. She was an active member of Family Haven Church in Troy.  But she will be best known for her selfless giving and caring always remembering friends and relatives.

She is survived by sons Randy R. Scrafford, Sr. (Jean Scrafford), MicKenzie T. Scrafford (Geri Streett) of Parkesburg, PA, and Brett A. Scrafford (Ken Hodder) of Troy, PA; daughters Jennifer Beth Chapman of Burlington, PA, and Carol (John) Wentworth of Morgantown, PA; grandchildren Tonya (Erick) Ballard, Malcolm Mulvaney, Jeremiah Chapman, Heather Scrafford, John (Katie) Wentworth, Lisa (Eddie) Norris; great grandchildren Isaiah, Haden, Rylan, Malcolm, John, Dominick, Alise, Maddie, Grant, Paige, Little Darnell, Mia, and Karen (with more on the way!); brother-in-law Bill Brackin; and nephew James Moretz.

Nancy was pre-deceased by her parents Mack and Betty Mulvaney, husband John J. Foreman, sisters Connie Brackin and Cindy Moretz, granddaughter Jennifer Lynn and grandson Randy Scrafford, Jr.

Funeral services are provided by life-long friends at Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA.  

Calling hours will be at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St.  Parkesburg, PA, on Sunday, May 6, from 6-8 pm and on Monday, May 7, from 10-11 am. There will be a Service of Christian Burial at 11 am on Monday followed by the Committal at Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Gum Tree, PA.

There will also be a service of celebration and thanksgiving for Nancy at the Church of Christ (Disciples) in Canton, PA, on Friday, May 11, at 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please offer donations in Nancy’s honor to The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, The Humane Society, and/or Family Haven Church.
