Michael E. Morefield, 47, of Sadsburyville, passed away at his home with his wife and children on Monday, December 26, 2011.  He was the beloved husband and high school sweetheart of Cheryl "Cheri" French Morefield, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.  

 
Born in Coatesville he was the son of Delmer and Doris Ahn Morefield.  
 
He was a 1984 graduate of Octorara High School and the Center for Arts and Technology.  He was employed by Penflex Corp in Gilbertsville as a welder for past 22 years.  
 
Michael is survived, in addition to his wife, by his daughters Heather Morefield and Kristie Morefield, both of Sadsburyville; his future son-in-law and fiancee of Kristie, Brandon Horning of Sadsburyville; his maternal grandmother, Myrtle Ahn of Parkesburg; his brother Christopher Morefield of Newark, DE.; his granddaughter Mikaela Morefield and his granddaughter that's on the way.  
 
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 30th, 2011 at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Glen Run Cemetery of Atglen.  Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 until the time of the service.

God has open his arms and has welcomed a truely wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Cheri, Heather, Kristie, Brandon, Mikaela,Mike's parents, brother and little granddaughter on the way, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God be with you while you go through this difficult time. Remember that Mike will always be with you in your hearts and memories. And will always be an angle watching down upon you.

Kristie, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. Brandon has told me on several occasions how much he thought of him and what a good man he was. I'm glad Brandon had him as one of his father figures. I hope all of your good memories help ease you and your families pain in the future.
