Donald R. Coleman, 83, of East Fallowfield, passed away on November 8, 2011 at the VA Hospital from complications of a stroke. He was the beloved husband of Lois (Fredd) Coleman, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert Coleman and Margaret Dancer.
He was a 1946 graduate of Chester High School.
A veteran of the Korean war, he was a paratrooper with the 187th Paratroop Infantry Regiment.
He drove truck for many years, but his first love was farming. He also built and flew RC airplanes.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one son, Richard Coleman, four daughters, Terry Rathbun, Debra Wooden, Virginia Mejias, Lynda Ninos, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 14th, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Friendship Methodist Cemetery of Gum Tree. The viewing will be held from 10 until 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA), 706 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.

At this time our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Doug and I are still on the road in our rv. We often think of you and Mr.Coleman. You were both a big help to us when we sold the flower shop, and Mr. Coleman was a gem for a delivery man. Take care, May God Bess you and your family. We'll keep in touch.

Mrs. Coleman, Lynda, Gin, Debbie, Richard, Terry and Alan, I can not put in to words how sorry I am for your loss. Today was the day I found out about the passing of whom I concidered a 2nd father when you guys were living next to us. He was a kind, generous and loving man, and I will miss him terribly. Even though I didn't see him much, when I did, it was like I saw him every day. His smile would always light up a room. He was such a gentle man. I regret that I didn't see him more often. I want you all to know you are all in my thoughts and my prayers and please know I love you all. Ginny and Lynda, please, please, let's get together soon and reminisces about your dad and my parents, I would love to see you all and Mrs. Coleman, I am at a loss for words. I am so very sorry for your loss, I love you and if there is anything I can do for any of you, please do not hesitate to call me. I will be calling you Lyn, and Mrs. Coleman, and I will completely understand if you are not in the frame of mind to talk, but you will here from me soon. Love to all of you..
