Norman Leon "Jake" Maser, 73, of Atglen, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster. He was the husband of Lillian McComsey. Born in Christiana, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob and C. Myrll Graef Maser.
He was an area resident all his life and was employed at Pillsbury in Parkesburg. He served in the U.S. Army, and enjoyed collecting model trains and NASCAR racing. He attended Penningtonville Presbyterian Church.
He is survived in addition to his wife by two step children, E. Douglas, husband of Joni McComsey of New Providence, PA, and Susan M., wife of Neil Talsania of Rochester, NY, 4 grandchildren, and siblings, Arthur Maser, husband of Ruby, of Cochranville, June Reedy, wife of Earl, of Raleigh, NC., and sister-in-law, Sara Maser of Chesapeake, VA. He was preceded in death by sibling, Charles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 11:00am from the Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, Atglen. Internment in the adjacent cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
