Norman K. Beach, Jr., 84, of Cochranville, died on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Conestoga View Nursing Home in Lancaster. He was the husband of Barbara Jeann Eby Beach with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Norman K. Beach, Sr. and Mary Palmer Beach. Norman graduated in 1944 from Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed at the Lukens Store in Coatesville retiring in 1991. Norman also served as Chief of Police in Highland Twp. from 1960 to 1990. Mr. Beach was a member of the Hephzibah Baptist Church and had formerly attended the Friendship United Methodist Church in Gum Tree.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three sons; Barry Beach and wife Rita of Coatesville, Randy Beach and wife Kathleen of Cochranville and Dana Beach and wife Beth of Downingtown, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, five step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Pauline Armentrout.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield, PA 19320 followed by interment at Friendship Methodist Cemetery. Viewing at the church from 10 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Hephzibah Baptist Church at the above address.

Im sitting here looking at his picture and a lot memories come back to me. Mostly camping trips, phillies games when he would yell at Greg Luzinski.Im so glad that our parents were such good friends and im very happy theres been Beaches in my life for 40 years.The memories is what gets you though the next few weeks.Thoughts and prayers to your family. So many childhood memories
So many childhood memories began to come back as I read this obit. The times as a little girl going to Luken's Company store with my momma and seeing the smiling face of Mr. Beach. If memory serves me correctly, it was behind the meat counter.

Norm lived to be 84, what a long life.
Where do I begin, I remember working with Norm in the Parkesburg District Court as he served the community as a police officer and constable.
Also have memories of him butchering deer for my husband Bobby.
Norm was such a happy and caring person.
Barry, Randy, Dana your parents raised 3 fine men. I am sure he is so proud of you.
