Russell Gregory Forsyth
Russell Gregory Forsyth, 52, of East Fallowfield, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday June 25th, 2024, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. An avid outdoorsman, Russell loved fishing, hunting and camping. Many of his best memories were made in the woods or by a stream, especially when he was fishing with his grandson, Dominick, who he taught to fish as he was taught by his great-grandfather. His love of nature could be seen as well in the time and care he spent working in the yard and making a bountiful garden.
Russell was a natural artist and loved sketching pictures with his youngest daughter, Ambria, and his grandsons. His artistic ability extended into the kitchen. He enjoyed cooking and teaching loved ones how to make his favorite dishes, especially spaghetti sauce. Born in June, Summer was Russell’s favorite time of year and he especially enjoyed trips to the beach and watching fireworks. He also loved spending time taking car rides, listening to classic rock music and watching movies. His family and friends appreciated Russell’s patience, kindness, generosity and always being willing to help with whatever was needed. His adventurous spirit made him an "up-for-anything” kind of guy -- if you invited him to go, he would go.
A devoted Catholic, Russell begins his heavenly journey. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the beloved husband of Denise Forsyth (Domsohn). Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of Russell E. and Anna (Klemas) Forsyth. In addition to his wife and parents, Russell is survived by his daughters. Ashlynn (Dylan) Forsyth-Profeto, Ambria Forsyth and his stepson Derrick Domsohn. Russell was known as “Pawpaw” to his grandson Dominick Profeto, who he loved very much. As well as being step grandfather to Dalton, Donovan, and Declan Domsohn. He was a brother to Lynn Forsyth Shepherd (Michael) of Havertown, PA, and Kara Forsyth of Parkesburg, PA. He was a caring uncle to Avery Shepherd, Amya Forsyth, and Ava Guiseppe.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 603 W 2nd Ave in Parkesburg. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance, 1760 Unionville-Wawaset Rd., West Chester, PA, 19382, or https://brandywineredclay.org/get-involved/donate.
