Cochranville, Pennsylvania

Robin L. McCormick, 59, of Cochranville, passed away on Saturday, May, 18, 2024 at her
home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Harry James McCormick
with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.

Robin was born on September 17, 1964 to Jeanne and Robert Boarts Sr in Elmer, NJ. She
was the first of four children: Kim Miller of Kissimmee, FL; Kristen Gwizdak-Imburgia of
Kissimmee, FL ; and Robert Boarts Jr of East Earl, PA. She spent her childhood in Elmer
NJ, and Dickerson Run PA and finally came to settle in Cochranville PA where she
graduated from Octorara Area High School in 1982.

It was in Cochranville that she met the love of her life, Harry and built her own family of
children and grandchildren: Nicole and Joshua Starner and their son Noah as well as
Ashley and Roger Radcliff and their children Joel and Lillian. In addition to her literal children, she was a maternal figure to many growing up as an “Auntie”, “Titi”, “Gram”, and “Miss Robin”.

Robin delighted in helping others and working tirelessly in her community. Through the
years, she was a banker, dental office manager, tax collector, and treasurer for various
organizations. Most recently, she poured her heart into managing the Righteous
Clothing Thrift Shop in Parkesburg. She found joy in meeting every customer, training
every volunteer and helping every individual that she was able in that capacity.

Robin served in many local churches with her heart and her voice, a notable singer and
volunteer in many committees. She was a faithful and active member of the Parkesburg
United Methodist Church where she served as President of United Methodists in Action.
She also lent her voice in the choir and praise band and volunteered yearly with
Vacation Bible School.

Our dear Robin, her illness and death has left me speechless. I will never forget Easter morning, after the fire in Parkesburg, she arrived at church showerless, and asked for prayers for the victims. As she sat there in front of the congregration, after worshipping with her beautiful voice, the "look" she had in her eyes was a heroic outpouring of love, I will never forget. She modeled love in all of hearts that knew her. I will miss your smile and hugs especially when I shop at Righteous Clothing. My sincerest condolences to all of her family. I hope when she sees a special young man and gives him one of her hugs!

Robin - Mr. Overmeyer shared the news and it brought up our impending mortality; it's been decades since we saw each other & it looks like you had a wonderful life but gone too soon, way too soon. You were always kind with fleeting memories of going to school at Octorara - class of 1982 - big hugs to your family.

Sending you our deepest condolences during this difficult time. We were so saddened and shocked to hear of Robin's passing. Harry, it was back in the early 80's when we met. Robin and I worked together, she sang at my wedding and I was in your wedding. We even had our first children (Nicole and Jenna) just a few weeks apart. Then life happens and we moved out of the area. What a blessing a few years ago we were able to reconnect on Facebook.  Just know that our thoughts and prayers are and always will be with you and your family. Robin will be sorely missed.                       Carol and Mark Ritchey
