William B. Pratt, Jr., 76, of West Caln Township, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Judy A. Gill Pratt with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William B. Pratt, Sr. and Mary Givler Pratt.

Bill was an area resident all his life and a 1964 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam where he received the Bronze   Star Medal for valor. He was employed by PECO for 36 years as a lineman.

He was a faithful member of the Wagontown Union Chapel. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one sister Nancy J. Bernard and husband Albert of Coatesville, PA and two sister-in-laws; Joyce L. Belmonte and husband Bernie of Honey Brook, PA and Jean M. Gay and husband David of New Holland, PA, five nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews, three great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,  October 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 W Kings Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 9:30 AM until the start of the service. Interment will directly follow the service at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, East Earl, PA.  

Memorial donations can be made in Bill's honor to Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 W Kings Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at givenow.lls.org

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA.

So sorry for your loss Judy.  Bill was a great person and his smile lit up the room.  I enjoyed working with Bill in West Grove and we had lots of laugh.  He will truly be missed.  Sending prayers for your family and you during this difficult time.  🙏🙏🙏

lMy Uncle Bill is a good man like his father before him.  I am blessed to come from such a lineage. His legacy will live on.  I hope I can be a man of that caliber.  They are together now.  Gods Speed Uncle Bill.  I’ll keep an eye on Aunt Judy for you.
