William A. "Skeets" Taylor, 68, of Cochranville, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the beloved husband of Nancy J. Chandler Taylor with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late George A. and Elizabeth Anton Taylor.
Bill was an area resident all his life. He served in the US Army in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star for gallantry and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was employed as The Manager of Customer Service for his last nine years at Arcelor Mittal of Coatesville retiring last year with 48 years of service in total.
Skeets was a member of the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 F.& A.M. of Cochranville, the Eastern Lancaster County Rod and Gun Club, the American Legion and the Draggin' Wagons Car Club.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter Lindsay N. Taylor of Downingtown and two siblings; Barbara Shoun and husband Michael Shoun of Carlisle, PA and Elwood T. Boyd and Wife Ruth Ann Boyd of Cleveland, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Oxford, Cemetery in Oxford, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM and also Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Masonic services will be performed at 7:45 PM at the funeral home on Thursday evening. The family would like to encourage his friends who own antique and street rod cars to bring their vehicles for involvement in the funeral procession on Friday.

Stunned and sad to hear the news
I was very stunned and sad to hear the news about Skeets earlier this week. He was a great boss and very influential in my career development. He has my utmost respect and gratitude, and I'm very glad I reached out to him the day he retired to let him know that.
