Robert H. Beard
Robert H. Beard, 56, of Coatesville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4th under the care of his parents and surrounded by his family. He was taken by God's angels to the arms of his most beloved savior, Jesus the Christ, who he trusted and believed in with his whole heart and soul.
Born in Coatesville, Robert was the son of Emma L. (Frame) and Hudson Beard of Coatesville. He was the husband of Marian E. Beard of Delaware.
Robert was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship of Coatesville. Robert was a 1979 graduate of Coatesville Area High School. He was employed by Delaware Valley Concrete of Kennett Square as a Truck Driver.
Robert loved Christian Gospel music, praising the Lord, and reading his Bible. He accepted the Lord as a very young boy. He loved to witness about the Lord. He was a man of few words, but when he said something about the word of God you had to listen.
In his earlier years, he raced at Maple Grove and Cecil County Raceways and liked showing off his car at car shows. He rode his motorcycles every now and again before he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer which spread to his liver in June 2017.
He was a beacon of light to his family, friends, and to others. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived, in addition to his wife and parents, by two children: Robert H. and Brandon G., both of Coatesville; two grandchildren, Hudson Devine and Gemma Potter; and siblings, Bryon, husband of Kriss, of Caln, Vicci Eidell, wife of Barry, of Pottstown, and Melissa Beard, and companion Mark Miller, of Coatesville; nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Shawnté Wilson who was like a sister to Bob.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11 AM at Cornerstone Fellowship, 101 Kylies Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320, with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating. The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
