Robert D. Shreiner, Jr, 67, of Parkesburg passed away suddenly on December 10, 2015 in Savannah, Georgia,  while traveling to Florida to spend Christmas with his daughter and family.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Robert D. Shreiner, Sr and Florence Dempsey Shreiner.  
 
A Parkesburg resident most of his life, he was a 1965 graduate of the Coatesville High School. Bob was employed by the  Lukens Steel Co. for 35 years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of United Steel Workers Union 1165, the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and he was a Free Mason. He also served in the US Army Reserves.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather L., wife of Clinton W. Wrigley of Sarasota, Florida, three grandsons, one sister, Cindy wife of Dave Springer of Coatesville and his dearest friend, Karen Stoltzfus.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00am from the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main St, Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. The viewing and visitation will be held on Friday evening, December 18th, from 6-8:00pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Parkesburg United Methodist Church at the above address.

I graduated with Bobby. I spoke to him at the class just last month. I told him then that I always thought of him as a cool and funny guy back then. I will remember him fondly. God bless him.b

Heather and familey

My deepest condolences to the family. I will miss bob more than i can say, we had many great times together,learned a lot from each other and became very good friends . My brother,Buddy and I played with Bob (Sunny) often. We would go down to his grandparents farm and play there for half the day. I am sorry for your loss. Sunny rest in peace and God bless.

Bob… What can I say I am overwhelmed with your passing. I hope you are looking over your family as well as me now.  After my Dad passed I was lost and you gave me advice as well as such a friendship which I cannot describe. It is heard to breathe at times when I really reflect that you are gone. I wish I could see you one more time. I have so much to tell you.  I you will be in my prayers.  Don’t forget me my friend.  I will cherish you always.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I remember when I had my two girls would go to his dads place in Chincoteague. It was a great old home full of memories. I have many remembrances of Bob in the surf at Chincoteague. Rest In Peace. Bob
