Sheridan H. Dickinson, 71, of Christiana, PA, died on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Alison Miller Dickinson. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Philip J. Dickinson and Margaret Williams Dickinson Ferguson. 

Sheridan was an area resident all his life and a member of the Mt. Zion AME Church. He was employed as an auto mechanic and more recently provided transportation for the local Amish community.  

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by six children; Kevin Dickinson, Monica Smith, Sheridan Henderson, Calvin Williams, Nate Williams and Philip Dickinson, 10 grandchildren and four siblings; Frederick Dickinson, James Dickinson, David Folks and Phyllis Miller. He was preceded in death by two brothers Philip and Douglas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 12noon from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with a viewing from 9am to 12:00noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Zion AME Church Missionary Society, 404 Zion Hill Rd, Atglen, PA 19310.

Sheridan lived a full and complete life.  Sorry I didn't see him on my last visit home but glad he was able to have his beloved cookout for family and friends.

Family,

I have such great memories and the best memories were when I was young and he would stop by the house. I got some candy and laughter. He will always be in my heart.  Will keep you all in my prayers.
