Verna M. DeGezelle, 92, formerly of Glenmoore, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the widow of Maurice DeGezelle who died in 1997. Born in New Bloomfield, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Florence Borrell Hoffman.
Verna was a member of the Glenmoore United Methodist Church. She was also a founding member of the Glenmoore Garden Club and a long time volunteer at the Brandywine Hospital. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by five children; Darlene F., wife of Robert J. Marsh of Elverson, Robert M. DeGezelle and wife Kathy of Yorklyn, DE, Donald A. DeGezelle of Pottstown, David G. DeGezelle and wife Diane of Coatesville and Diane M., wife of David DePew of Atglen, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11am from the Glenmoore United Methodist Church, 1920 Creek Road, Glenmoore, PA 19343 folowed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation at the church from 11am to 12noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Glenmoore United Methodist Church at the above address.
