Sherri L. Findley, 47, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester. She was the beloved wife of James S. Findley, with whom she shared four years of marriage.
Born in Mechanicsburg, Sherri was the daughter of Barbara Johnson of Coatesville and the late George Karrer.
Sherri had a Bachelor's degree in Business from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from West Chester University. She was the Associate Executive Director at the YMCA of Brandywine Valley in Jennersville and Kennett Square for the past seven years. Prior to that she was an Elementary School Teacher in both PA and CA.
Sherri is survived, in addition to her husband and mother, by her two children: Mandi and Zachary Schuldheisz; five stepchildren, Tessa Findley, Tiera Wiest, Tara Findley, Nichol Martinez and Holly Schuldheisz; two grandchildren; and two siblings, Patti VanCleave of Downingtown and Randy Karrer of Coatesville.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 5:30 at Willowdale Chapel (Jennersville Campus), 111 Vineyard Way, West Grove, PA 19390 with visitation from 4 PM until 5:30 PM.

I am so sad to hear of Sherri's passing. She was my daughters girl scout leader and was a wonderful person and teacher. My prayers go out to her children and family.

There is something about a
There is something about a person who meets any comment or request with an enthusiastic smile. There is something about a person who sees the best in others and who gives by the nature of who they are. I was honored to work with Sherri who was introduced to me by her sister, Patti, and quite the powerful duo they made, each in their own way. It’s hard to make sense out of all Sherri’s energy and loving ways being stilled, at least on this planet. I like to think she’s still looking in on those she loved and that she's setting up all the fun stuff for us to do together when we join her. She will definately make it fun...
Remembered and loved
Sherri was a beautiful woman who I have not known very long, however I knew her well enough to feel the love she had put off around her. Knowing she is at peace with herself, she is and will be remembered by family and friends and not forgotten.
Sherri was the most wonderful
Sherri was the most wonderful person that I ever had the privilege of knowing. She truly was a one of a kind who loved dealing with children and loved to teach them. I miss her gorgeous and contagious smile and she would always smile no matter what. She had a dream of opening her own teaching center that she was never able to do. She was taken from us way to early because she had so much to offer the children of Pennsylvania. Now I only have the memories of her and can only hope that when my time comes that we will meet again. Rest In Peace angel and know that I will always love you
