Parke Elwood Morrison, 84, of Honey Brook, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Pocopson Home. He was the husband of the late Joanne L. Guiney Morrison who died in 2010 after sharing 60 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Parke was the son of the late Pearl (Johnson) and Arthur Morrison.
He was a graduate of the Coatesville High School. Parke served honorably in the US Army from 1946 to 1948.
He was employed by both Lukens Steel Co. and General Motors as an electrician.
He is survived by his two children: Gail Louise Schwibenz of Honey Brook and Parke L. Morrison, husband of Marcy, of Honey Brook; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Arthur Morrison of Cochranville and a beloved niece Kathi Joanne Guie of Newark, DE.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles, Marie, Thelma, Dorothy, Helen, Gladys, Violet, Florence, Gloria and Raymond.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. The visitation will be held from 10 until 11 AM.

Parke was a great man. He worked part time for me at my RV dealership. He was very mechanically inclined and a very good electrician. I always enjoyed working with him. He was not only a good employee, he was also a good friend.

Parke, Gail and family - I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was an awesome man who could always make me smile. I'm sitting here smiling now thinking of he and your mom sitting on the porch in heaven. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers and hope that fond memories will see you through the tough times. He will live on in each of you.

I had the pleasure of meeting
I had the pleasure of meeting Parke and his family quite a few years ago. Although our visit's have been sparse, it is easy to recognize Parke's honesty and loyalty, the devotion to his family , and the abundance of strength, that shined brightly through his soft spoken words. Take comfort in your cherished memories during this difficult time. you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
