Weep not for me though I am gone into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed.
For all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts,
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

Dear Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we encourage you to remember your loved one as a very special person, who touched the lives of so many people.....in a "good and positive way".
"Brownie" was genuine and we truly loved being in his company.
So many positive things can be said about him.
This was a man who "truly" loved his children; he was all about family,
(sister, brothers, aunts, cousins whatever)there's no doubt about it, he
loved family.
But above all, there seemed to be a "special love" for his children.
When speaking of them,he showed a sense of pride and accomplishment.
He was a good man....a good person, period!
During his years of service at the VA, he was one of the best Supervisors ever! This we can say without any reservation; and, it was truly a pleasure for us being on the same "team" with him.
He will definitely be missed, grieved and mourned. But remember the love he showered upon all of us. We will forever have many good memories of our friend. And, knowing that you have many good memories, we encourage you to remember him well and the love he left for all of you to cherish.
You will remain in our thoughts and prayers,
Bonnie & J.D.

Dear family,
I am very sorry to hear about the sudden demise of your loved one. We, the Hale’s are really shocked with the untimely death of such a cheerful and great person. We sincerely feel most deeply for the family in this sad hour of bereavement. The loss is too severe to be expressed in words, but being human we have to accept God’s will. I wish God give you strength and courage to accept this reality.
May God Bless!

The Broken Chain
We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly in death we do the same. It broke our heart for you to leave but you did not go alone. for part of us went with you the day God call you home. You left us peaceful memories ,your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you , you are always at our side. Our family Chain is broken and always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
I know that is hard for you to understand why this happen , but just take time to remember the good time you share with your Dad, I always remember him that tooth pick that I never see him with out. Stay close to each other and your Dad is still wacthing over you all.
God bless you and the Family

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Brown family, this is so tragic. Herb was the nicest person and if you need him to do something for you, he was always was there for. That was the kind of person he was. Words can't express how hurt I am over this, just can't believe it. And to his kids Herb loved you guys, and he was a good father. Brownie you will be missed, and god bless you.
I was deeply saddened when I
I was deeply saddened when I learned about Robbie. I have known him all my life since we both grew up in Hayti. Robbie has always been a respectable, kind and very nice man. I would laugh whenever I saw him cause he would tease me about my crooked ponytails I used to have when I was little. I would run into him at the Wawa alot and he always told the cashier I have hers too....always buying my coffee. To the family..my thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Robbie, rest in the Lord, you will surely be missed.

Rembering & Working with Bob
To the Family of Bob, it was a pleasure to know him & work with him at the VA. I had the privelage to work with him when we first started at the VA as Nursing Students & then after classes working together on Ward 9B & then me going into the Fire Department & he eventually going into Environmental Management & then becoming a Surervisor. He was always there when we needed help when situations came up & would always give his all when asked. It was nice to always see his smiling face & that Toothpick in his mouth. Every time I saw him he would always say Hello & with a smile. It was a real enjoyable time working with him there as like me, have been there for 33 years.
I will always remember him & will miss his smiling face & see him outside walking from building to building making his rounds & always helping whenever I needed his help.
May he rest in peace & as like alot of others have said, he will surely be missed at the VA,
To his Family, you had a great person to look up & be with whenever you could be with him.
I will keep him in my prayers & know he is in his "Happy Place".
To the family of Herb
To the family of Herb Brown:
When I heard of Herb's passing, I was deeply saddened. Herb always had a smile on his face and he was very kind. He also was a hard worker. I have worked at Coatesville VA the same amount of time as Herb, so I knew him well enough to tell you that he always seemed to be positive and upbeat and walked with a little pep in his step and that is how I choose to remember Herb. Although this is a difficult time for all of you, find comfort in knowing that so many people really did like Herb because he was a likeable person. I wish I could say something that would ease your pain but words just don't seem to suffice...
Herb will be missed
I was only at the VA for a short time this past summer for an internship but I really respected Herb. I didn't know him well but he was always kind and willing to help everyone. He was a great supervisor and took a lot of pride in his work. It was a pleasure working with him. I could tell he cared a lot about his family. This world could use more people like him. I send my thoughts and prayers to Herb's family and friends.

Herb-
My dearest Herb, i have known you for the past 12 years but i feel like you and i knew each other even before. You have been such a wonderful person to have in my life and now that you are gone my life feels incomplete. I remember the last day we spent together,Nov 8th; a great day, you and i had such a great time and all we did was laugh. Those are the special days I will miss mostly. I love you with all my heart and I know that eventually i will meet you in our happy heaven, filled with all the people we love and want near us. I will miss you now and forever; until we meet again.
Love you, Sharon.
Thank you!
Thank you Ms. Sharon!
I will miss my dad and im sure you will too!
To my homie, friend, and supervisor
God has a way of putting people into our lives for a reason. You were my inspiration, always pushing me to do better to become more than what my past said I was. With out you impacting me the way you did I don't were I would be. Probverb 27:17, says Iron sharpens iron: so a man sharpens the coutenance of his friend. The talks we had about our homies how we would go way back talking about East End and Hayti. The times we would stand in the hallways at the YMCA and cut up will never be forgotten. When I was sick unto death and in the passing of my mother you stood by my side gracefully, speaking life and hope and encouragement to me. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten..... As in the song by Boys to Men, "it's so hard to say good-bye to yesterday".
To the family be encouraged and always know that your dad, brother, grandfather, and uncle was a man of integrity. Was well respected and loved much. The lives he touched has blessed a multitude. I will continue to pray for all of you....
Missing you!
My Dearest Herb-It will be 1 month tomorrow. The pain of your loss has not diminished. I miss you terribly and I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that I will physically never see you again. Just seeing you around, chance meetings here and there, spending those quiet moments together and just enjoying each other's company would make my day. I miss those serious conversations and the silly ones. I miss your smile and your touch. My heart aches just thinking of the pain you must have been in. I pray you are at peace. I pray that you hear me when I talk to you daily. I know I will see you again! I love you!! You are NEVER far from my mind and ALWAYS in my heart!!!
MISSING YOU
Dear Herb,
I can't believe that it has been 1 month since you past. The pain I feel in my heart and soul has not gotten better.I think of you constantly and sometimes the memories make me smile and other times they make me cry knowing that there will be no more memories created with you.I know you are in a better place but I guess I am being selfish in wanting you here on earth with me.I wish that I could of seen the pain you were in and help you with it,but I guess it wasn't to be.Until I see you again in Heaven know that there isn't a day, hour or minute that goes by that I don't think of you.Missing and loving you.
