Russell J. Steidler

Russell J. Steidler, 84, formerly of Coatesville, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford. He was the husband of the late Viola Scott Steidler who died in 1986. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Mary E. Mallalieu Steidler. Russell served in the US Army during WWII. He was employed for 35 years by the Lukens Steel Co. as an electrical supervisor. He loved being outdoors and playing golf. 

 

He is survived by by two daughters Abby J., wife of the late John Garzia and Patty A., wife of Garry Smith, one grandson Donald Smith and wife Christina, and three great grandchildren Connor, Ethan and Lochlan all of Coatesville and two siblings George Steidler of Coatesville and Margaret of NE. He was preceded in death by five siblings Lloyd, Ann, Frank, Mary and Grace.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Viewing at the funeral home from 10 to 11:00 am.
