Elizabeth Schenk ( Updated Service Information)

Elizabeth Schenk, 101, of West Chester, formerly of Coatesville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Brandywine Hall, West Chester, PA.

She was the widow of the late Gustave A. Schenk who died in 1995. Born in the Black Forrest, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Sig Kuch.
Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son Richard R. Schenk and wife Phyllis of Parkesburg, five grandchildren; Richard Schenk, Elisa Nickel, Eric Schenk, Kurt Schenk and Wendy Walker, 16 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two siblings and one daughter Elizabeth Webb.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg with visitation from 1 to 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union United Methodist Church, 321 Freemont Road, Nottingham, PA 19362.
