Nancy L. Abernathy, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010. She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. Abernathy. Born in Marietta, she was the daughter of the late Beathel and Nellie Howard Bailer.


She is survived by five daughters; Kim Williams of Lancaster, Jerri, wife of Whitmer Middleton of Lancaster, Helene, wife of Albert Mitchelle of Frazer, PA, Kenetha Abernathy of Lancaster and Karen Abernathy of Bausman, PA, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four sisters; Ethel Bailer, Betty Bridgette, Gloria Gray and Shirley Poindexter.


Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Faith Calvary - Abundant Life Church, 1501 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment will be private.

We wish 2 express our sincere sympthy in the passing of your mother.We just found out on Wed,If there is anything we can do plese don't hesitate 2 inform us.Im sure @ this time your heart's are heavy,for i myself have walked this lonely path along w/Thomas & Whitmer who have felt this also for the loss of a mother is unexplainable!!!...So be comforted in the fact that this is not over for our faith in GOD let's us know "WE" will unite w/our ~MOTHER'S~ again,forever to rejoice w/the Lord!!!..Be-Blessed. To the family and friends of Aunt Nancy Abernathy:

I apologize for the tardiness of my condolences, however I just received the email of Aunt Nancy's passing this morning. It is with a heavy heart that I enter this condolence message as it seems so very impersonal and in such a time of grief personal attendance and embraces are needed.
My memories of Aunt Nancy are very few but pleasant, and I hope that those who have known her better find comfort in the pleasant memories you hold as well.
