Maureen was happiest when she was with her family. She loved entertaining at her home, and hosted many family gatherings with style, warmth, and grace. She loved to cook, tend to her gardens, and grow her own vegetables, flowers, and trees. She loved music, reading all genres of literature and poetry and collected artwork. She enjoyed the beach and traveling, and Maureen was fortunate to makes trips to Ireland where she explored her family history and meeting her cousin, Mary Kenny, of the Kenny Family Farm in Ballydangan, County Roscommon, and noted that Ireland felt “like home”.
