E. Romaine Moore

E. Romaine Moore, 90, of New Holland, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her home.  She was the companion of 30 years to Angelo Porreca, who provided her care until her passing. Married for 30 years she was the widow of the late Claire E. Moore, who passed away in 1985. 

Born in Coatesville, Romaine was the daughter of the late Edna (Bailey) and Franklin Hart. She owned and operated Moore's Tire in Coatesville. She was a member of Pequea Presbyterian Church.  Romaine was the treasurer for Sadsbury Fire Co. and was a member of the Downingtown VFW auxiliary.  

Romaine enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, and dancing including square dancing, disco, rock and roll, and the foxtrot. Her open home and heart made her a mother figure to many.  

Romaine is survived, in addition to Angelo, by her daughter, Beth A. Engel, wife of David and her stepson Danny R. Moore, husband of Phyllis, 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa R. Skiles, son Donald Terry Moore, son Herbert Ford, and stepson, C. Edward Moore, and a grandson, Billy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pa., followed by interment in Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
