Mary S. Mendenhall

Mary S. Mendenhall, 86, of Honey Brook, died on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Chester County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Allen L. Mendenhall with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Born in West Caln Twp., she was the daughter of the late John P. and Hedwig Drobney Gregor. 

Growing up, Mary attended Coatesville Schools. She was a Roman Catholic by faith. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens, traveling throughout the USA, trips to the Jersey shore and casinos but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. 

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children; Hedwig "Heidi" Thompson and husband Richard of Honey Brook, Danny Mendenhall and wife Jill of Honey Brook and Ronald Mendenhall and wife Wendy of Stowe, PA, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers; Joseph Gregor of Downingtown and Mick Gregor of Pomeroy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons; Larry, Allen Jr., and Dennis and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Viewing and visitation from 10 to 11am. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
