Ruth V. Sagner, 86, of West Chester, went home to the Lord on January 8, 2014, at the Chester County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Sagner, Sr. with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Honey Brook, she was the daughter of the late John and Cathrine Welsh Buchanan.
Ruth was an area resident all her life and a 1946 graduate of the Honey Brook High School.
Ruth loved spending time with her family and having company over for visits.
She also enjoyed playing cards and trips to Delaware Park.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two children; Thomas Sagner, Jr. and wife Deborah and Carol Sagner, all of West Chester, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one brother Charles Buchanan, Sr. of Narvon.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11am at the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, located in the village of Compass, 1520 W Kings Hwy Gap, PA 17527.

Carol, I was sorry to see in the paper the passing of your Mother. You probably don't remember me, but we graduated high school together in '66. I used to bring my little Scottie dog to your place to be groomed. Thoughts and prayers are with you. You are not forgotten.
