Theodore Solly Wilson, 92, of East Fallowfield, Pa., passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of Helen Saponaro Wilson with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Richboro, PA he was the son of the late Harry and Edna Solly Wilson.
Ted graduated from George School in Newtown, PA. He lived and worked most of his life in Bucks County as a self employed dairy farmer and peach grower. After retirement, Mr. Wilson enjoyed woodworking. A resident of Chester Co. for the past 22 years, he was a member of the St. Malachy Church, Cochranville, PA where he got involved with several church restoration projects.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four daughters; Edna Jean, wife of Jack Farris of Angier, NC, Ann Wilson of East Fallowfield, Denise, wife of Earl Waltemyer of Wyalusing, PA and Mary, wife of Kenneth Wolf of Warrenton, PA, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother Dr. Cameron Wilson of Richboro, PA. He was preceded in death by two siblings; Robert Wilson and Lucille Jacobson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:00 am from the St. Malachy Chapel, Malachy Road, Cochranville, PA 19330 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the Chapel from 10:00am to the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Malachy Church, 603 West 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365 or Neighborhood Hospice Center, 400 E. Marshall, West Chester, PA 19380.

Mr. Ted Wilson
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Wilson family. Mr. Wilson will always be in our hearts and his memory will live on in the many woodworking projects he completed through the years. He touched us in so many ways, and his generosity towards my family will always be treasured. When he allowed our daughters to have Halloween parties in his historic barn both he and Mrs. Wilson seemed to enjoy the festivities as much as the kids did, even putting on masks to get in on the fun. I remember helping him to plow snow when he was close to 90 years young and it was so cold neither of us could stay outside for long, but there he was on his trusty tractor, working more like a 30 year old than the octogenarian he was at the time. And we shared an interest in clocks that led to many hours of conversation and also "service calls" that always seemed to end up as a stay for lunch or supper. Mrs. Wilson still enjoys cooking good food and lots of it, and it wasn't hard to stay just a little while longer and have a bite to eat with Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson and "Annie" as he called her. Mr. Wilson and his entire family grew into dear friends and we consider ourselves blessed to have been a part of their lives as well. We are always only a phone call away. I wanted to give my condolences to the Wilson family on the passing of a great man and friend. I remember the day Mrs. Wilson called my Mom in August of 1981 about a job feeding the calves on your dairy farm behind my parents house. I worked at Wilson`s dairy for 5 1/2 years before his retirement. I sorely miss those days and that farm as it is still etched in my memory as though it was only yesterday. I`ll never forget him "giving" me a heifer to work with in 4-H and helping me get to the Grange fair. The first year we took last place, and the following year we won it all! What great experiences I had on your farm and I fondly remember what a very nice person he was to me and my family. Mr Wilson always had the time to stop and ask how you were doing and share a laugh. Your family always made me feel welcome and I enjoyed the Christmas parties at your home. I am sorry I am unable to attend due to a new job but will always remember the experiences I had that helped me become the person I am today. As a young man, Mr Wilson was certainly a great role model in my life. Thank you, Andy Leary

I want you to know that you are in my prayers on this day.
What i remember the most about Ted is when his peach crop was ready. he smiled BIG as he said give her some to take home.. I know he loved his garden.
Thank You for being such wonderful Landlords. I always felt like part of the family when I stopped by..
I am sorry that I could not make it today but I want you to know my thoughts and Prayers are with you.. and you will always be in my heart forever. never foregotten !
