Richard Glenn McCoy, 75, of West Caln, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Maher McCoy with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harold A. McCoy and Mabel D. Sweigart McCoy.

Glenn was an area resident all his life and a 1966 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served in active duty from 1966 to 1976. 

He was employed as a  mechanic at the Navy Shipyard in Philadelphia and more recently he was employed by Omegaflex in Exton, PA as a maintenance mechanic.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons; Douglas F. McCoy of Thorndale, PA and Michael G. McCoy and wife Tracey of West Caln, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one sister Rochelle J. Ross and husband Owen of Coatesville, PA.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Kathy and family.

Jackie and I are so saddened by the loss of Glenn.  We loved everything about him.  We share so many memories from these past twenty + years that we'll never forget and treasure.  Your family has truly been a blessing to ours.  Prayer's abundance for all of Glenn's family and friends.  I know how much we'll miss him; I can't imagine on your end.  We're here for you 24 hours a day.  Blessings going forward as you lay Glenn to rest.  We love all of you so very much.  God Bless.

So sorry to hear of Glenn's passing. I remember as a child going to his house with my parents. His mom loved playing cards. We were all kids.

I worked with Klem in the 80's and 90's at the Shipyard. He was a very competent mechanic and even better person.
