Ralph Donald McNeil

Ralph Donald McNeil, 85, of Pomeroy, died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marian Agnes Carlisle McNeil. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Ralph W. McNeil and Dora Townsley McNeil McGowan.

Donald graduated from Scott High School in 1942. After graduation, he entered the US Army and served in Europe during WWII with the 3269th Ordance Base Depo Co. After the war ,he was employed by Lukens Steel retiring in 1985 as a machinst.

Mr. McNeil was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Pomeroy, the Brandywine Goddard Masonic Lodge #383 of Coatesville and a life member of the Pomeroy Fire Co.

He is survived by one step daughter Mildred "Susie" Garris of Parkesburg, two step grandchildren; Terri Fioravanti and Robert T. Warden, Jr. Preceded in death by one half brother John Commons.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10 to 10:45am. A Masonic service will be performed by the Brandywine Goddard Lodge at 10:45am.
