Phyllis C. Hoover, 79, of Wagontown, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2020.  She was the wife of James L. Hoover for over 58 years.  Born in Surveyor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hylan B. and Dolly Cole Jury.

She was a 1961 graduate from Clearfield  High School.  When she located in this area she worked as a waitress at Ingleside Dinner and as a clerk at Kohls Department Store in Thorndale.  She belonged to Sandy Hill Community Church.

Phyllis was devoted to her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Pamela Jo Hoover (Daniel Graybeal) of Honey Brook, and Mark (MaryAnn)  Hoover of Glenmore, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, brothers Milferd  (Carole)  Jury of Grampian, PA, and Blair Jury (Linda) of West Chester, and sisters, Violet Dixon (Ken) of Zephyrhills, FL, and Patrica Wallace of New Holland.  And all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son James Hyland Hoover a grandson, Matthew J. Hoover and a great-grandson James Matthew Hoover.

So sorry about your loss. I worked with Phyllis at Kohls, you gave us wood for our fireplace when we could not afford to purchase it. I thought the world of Phyllis and loved working with her. RIP.
