Pearl Beatrice Longabaugh, 101, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 under the care of Pocopson Nursing Home of West Chester.  Pearl was the widow of the late Earl Elias Longabaugh, who passed after they had shared 53 years of marriage.  

Born in Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pearl was the daughter of the late Bertha Bellwood Bowman and George Wertz.  

Pearl was a tireless worker who worked as a homemaker and in sales at Sam Rubison Clothing Store, and later at English Center Store and Restaurant.  Before raising her family, she was involved with the Motormaids which was a well-known regional and national motorcycle group for women.

Pearl was a gentle soul who loved people.  She enjoyed watching The Lawrence Welk Show, gardening, walking, and feeding the hummingbirds outside her home.  Pearl made an exceptional lasagna and apple pie.

She is survived by three children: Ann Reynolds of East Fallowfield, George Longabaugh of Narvon, and David Longabaugh of New York; eleven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Pearl's daughter Kay Althouse passed away on December 7th, 2021, the day before Pearl's death. Pearl was also preceded in death by two of her other children-- Kenneth Longabaugh and Gail Longabaugh Baker.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 11 AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, 753 Mt Zion Rd, Narvon, PA 17555.
