Owen Howard Jones, 75, of Pomeroy, died on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Harrioson Senior Living in Christiana, PA. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Janet Townsend Jones.
Owen was an area resident all his life and a 1955 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed, for 36 years, by Bell Telephone as a lineman and more recently he was employed for 11 years by Somat as a technician.
Owen was a member of the Brandywine Goddard Masonic Lodge #383, the Rajah Shrine, Life member of the West End Fire Company and the Pomeroy Fire Company, the Parkesburg VFW and the Coatesville Moose Lodge #297.
He is survived by two children of his first wife Joan McCarter of E. Fallowfield; Mark O. Jones and wife Kris of Ft. Mill, SC, Jill, wife of John Illes of Downingtown, two stepsons; James Fuller and wife Judi of Coatesville and Michael Jones of Downingtown, seven grandchildren; Joshua Mast, Jason Mast, Nicole Mast, Trevor Jones, Beau Fuller, Alexa Fuller and Kylee Fuller; and one great grandson Beckett Mast.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Visitation from 10 to 10:45am. The Brandywine Goddard will conduct Masonic services at 10:45am.

He was a sweet man that will be missed. Great sense of humor, always made me smile. Wish I had more time with him. Thank you Owen, for being so sweet and funloving. I will never forget you.
