Orville Ray Welch

Orville Ray Welch, 88, of Coatesville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Hartshorne Welch with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Clendenin, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Homer Welch and Daisy Hardwick Welch.

Orville attended Downingtown High School. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War Era.

He was employed most of his life as a Federal Mine Inspector retiring in 1995.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one son Kenneth Welch of Enola, PA, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and one sister Lucy Andrews of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by a daughter Marsha Pennington.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
