Nicholas Dmytryk

Nicholas Dmytryk, 82, of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at St. Martha's Manor in Downingtown. He was the husband of the late Patricia Lusky Dmytryk who died in 2010. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Stephen and Sophia Dmytryk. 

Nick was an area resident all his life and a 1951 graduate of the Scott High School. He was employed by the Lukens Steel Co. as a diesel mechanic. He was also employed part time as a police officer in S. Coatesville and W. Brandywine Twp. 

Nick attended the Holy Ghost Orthodox Church.  He enjoyed college basketball, watching the Phillies and Eagles and farming. 

 He is survived by five children;  Carol, wife of Edward Wallace, Jr.,  Nicholas Dmytryk, Jr., David Dmytryk, all of Coatesville, Katherine, wife of Keith Davis of Honey Brook and Tina, wife of David Hart also of Coatesville, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother Peter Dmytryk of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by three siblings; Mae Sopko and Anthony and John Dmytryk.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Viewing from 10 to 11:00am.
