Morgan C. "Jake" Reed, 83, of Birdsboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Sherman E. Fredericks and Myra Meals Fredericks.
Jake was employed for 25 years by the Transwall Corporation of West Chester, PA as a steel fabricator retiring in 2005. He proudly served with the US Army National Guard.
Jake was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by four children; Kelly Dick of Erie, PA, Aimee Burk of Emlenton, PA, Ronald Reed of Coatesville and Robert Reed and wife Virginia of Coatesville, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one sister Marion Louise Hilton of Honey Brook. He was preceded in death by one sister Rose Baxter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, February, 25, 2022 from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation period from 2 PM until the start of the service.

Uncle Jake I don’t know where to begin we love you always and forever. Thank you for always being there and thank you for being the best uncle ever to Isabella Silas and carter. You will always be in our hearts I will miss your laugh when I walked threw the door I will miss our talks I will miss everything you were the best uncle anyone could have asked for. I miss you every day and think about you everyday we love you ❤️ I know your up there right now with aunt Peggy and Mommom right now looking down on all of us give them big hugs for me.
