Mervin G. Whiteman

Mervin G. Whiteman, 84, of Parkesburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his home.  Born in Rock Run, he was the son of the late John and Emma Bilger Whiteman.  

He is survived by a daughter Sharon DeCarlo of Parkesburg.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Whiteman and a granddaughter Erica Sciarretta.  He is also survived by 2 sisters Marion Wiker and Margaret Mummert.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Elizabeth Whiteman, Katherine Steen and Winfield "Wink" Whiteman.  

Mervin was a beloved father and grandfather.  

He would do anything for those he loved.

He was a decorated World War II Veteran in the 592 Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment.  He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.  He loved deep sea fishing and the outdoors and most of all he loved his family.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11: 00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA.
