Mary 
M. Devine, 96, formerly of Downingtown, passed away at Pembrooke Nursing and Rehab on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late James W. Devine who died in 1990. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late J. Ralph and Clarissa Trimble Bailey. A Chester County resident her entire life, she had been employed by Mostellers Department Store in West Chester retiring in 1970. Mary was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and the Downingtown Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting and she was an avid Phillies fan.
She is survived by two daughters; Charlotte Cox of Gap and Jean, wife of Harold Trimble of West Chester, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Swartz, one granddaughter Phyllis Griffiths, great granddaughter Kendyl Smith, son-in-law Karl R. Cox, Sr. and one brother Raymond Bailey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10 to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Grove United Methodist Church, 490 W Boot Rd, West Chester, PA 19380-1112.

Mary was a sweet lady whom I enjoyed visiting when delivering flower arrangements from Grove United Methodist Church. Always lively and ready to chat, she had a wealth of memories to share. She was so proud of her family. Treasure the good times you had with her and know that she is now at peace with her Lord. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Devine Family, It's so hard to say good-bye to a loved one, especially family. Our family times go way back. Just remember all the good times Mary had and that she lived a long good life. Our family will be thinking of you.
