Mary Jane Lafferty, 93, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Pocopson Home. She was the widow of the late John A. Lafferty who died in 2009. They shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Dudley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur David Brenna and Bessie Ann Savits Brenna.
Mary Jane was a 1945 graduate of the Tredyffrin - Easttown Joint High School in Berwyn, PA where she was on the cheerleaders team her Jr. and Sr. years. She was employed by Strawbridge and Clothier at the Exton Mall and she served as a bus aide for Krapf buses at the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
Mary Jane was a member of the Wagontown Union Chapel, the Martins Corner Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and she served as a Cub Scout Leader with the Wagontown Cub Scout Pack.
She is survived by five children; Geneva "Ginny" Lozinski, of Coatesville, Georgeann Flinn, wife of Lewis of Glenmoore, PA, Karen L. Billas of Thorndale, PA, James H. Lafferty, and companion Diane of Quarryville and John B. Lafferty and wife Kathleen of Downingtown, 11 grandchildren; Robert Peters, Lori Lozinski Fitzgerald, Lisa Lozinski Miles, Jennifer Baum, Dr. Megan Flinn, Anthony Billas, John Vogel, Bronwyn Lafferty, Brent Lafferty, Erin Lafferty and Sarah Lafferty, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two siblings; Robert Brenna and Geneva Syphard.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Columbarium at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Church in Coatesville.

My sincee condolences to all the family. I remember Mrs Lafffeety since I was a small child because I use to be with my mother when my mother use to visit her and also when they had a bowling team., Mrs Lafferty was always a very sweet and nice lady.
