Mary Catherine MacDonald Troop, 71, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Hickory House of Honey Brook. Born in Kilmarnock, U.K., she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Connelly) and Harry Diem.
She graduated Immaculata University as a RN and worked at the Brandywine Hospital, Jennersville Regional and Brandywine Hall.
She was a Catholic by faith.
She is survived by her two sons: Robbie S. Troop of Coatesville and David H. Troop of Pottstown; five grandchildren; and two siblings, Elizabeth Murray of Parkesburg and Babe Winkler of Parkesburg.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with visitation hours from 10 until 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lamancha Animal Rescue, 855 Doe Run Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Mary was a wonderful person and it was an honor to know her. She always spoke fondly of her family and was so proud of all they have accomplished. I wish you all of you, her family and friends, moments of comfort in your sorrow.
