Mary B. Stratton

Mary B. Stratton, 83, of Atglen, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. She was the widow of the late Joseph P. Stratton, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Walsh Duffy.  Mary graduated from the West Catholic High School and continued her education at the Misercordia School of Nursing. She was employed as the school nurse at Harcum Jr. College in Bryn Mawr for 20 years.  Mary is a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Parkesburg.    

Mary is survived by her five children: Joseph Stratton of Houston, Tx., Mary D' Agostino of Atglen, Joanne Morie of Scarsdale, NY, John Stratton of Lansdowne, Pa., and Robert Stratton also of Lansdowne; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and three siblings, John Duffy of Drexel Hill, Nancy Troy of San Antonio, Tx., and Sister Dolores Duffy of Philadelphia.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 603 W. Second Ave., Parkesburg, Pa., followed by interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery of Darby, PA.  Family and friend are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church from 9 until 10 AM.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Neighborhood Hospice Center, 400 East Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
