Mary Alice (Baer) Faddis went to be with her Heavenly Father, Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.
She was a loving and caring wife and mother. Mary was born on Aug. 18, 1934, to James and Ruby Baer in Reading.
Mary and her husband, James V. Faddis, started their lives together on Aug. 31, 1954, in Parkesburg. She moved to Quford, where she was active in the youth Sunday School at her church, Baptist Bible Church, Elkton, Md. She moved to a small farm in Gaines, where she enjoyed gardening and caring for the smaller animals on the farm. She was a member of Marsh Creek Fellowship Baptist Church for 33 years. While a resident of Broad Acres, she enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James V. Faddis; daughter, Wilma (David) Stark of Boynton Beach, Fla.; son, James V. Faddis Jr. of Crayleg; daughter, Brenda (Robert) Noyes of Wrightsville; son, Michael (Tina) Faddis of Middlebury Center; daughter, Deborah Johnson of Tioga; daughter, Alice (Richard II) Moore of Wellsboro. She also has 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday Jan. 1, at the Cherry Flats Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Ken Smith and Keith Williams officiating.
Friends will also be received on Friday, Jan. 4, from 11 a.m. until noon, with services to follow at noon from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg. Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg is assisting the family.
