Maria Aceto, 90, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the St. Martha Center in Downtown, PA. She was the wife of the late Francesco “Frank” Aceto who died in 2018. They shared 65 years of marriage together. Born in Brywn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinando Amatucci and Angelina Canora Amatucci.
Maria was a 1948 graduate of the Haverford High school. She was employed by the Bell Telephone company and the DeFrancesco and Sons company in Havertown, but she spent most of her time raising her family and homemaking as a loving mother.
She attended St. Malachi Church.
She is survived by four children; Angelina “Gina “ Lamparsky, Joseph Aceto, Frank Aceto, Jr., and Michael Aceto. She was preceded in death by three siblings; Lou Amatucci, Nicholas Amatucci, and Angelina Amatucci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Malachi Church, 76 St. Malachi Road, Londonderry Township, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the St. Martha Center, 470 Manor Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335.
