Margaret Schafer

Margaret Schafer, 94, of Coatesville passed away at Freedom Village Retirement Community on Thursday, March 30, 2022. Born in Delta, Ohio she was the daughter of the late George H and Jessie Thomson. She was the beloved wife of the late I. Robert Schafer with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Margaret was a 1949 graduate of Michigan State University School of Business.

Extremely active in various volunteer groups throughout her life, including organizing numerous functions and events at Freedom Village, Coatesville, PA

She is survived by one sister; Mary Ellen Mitchell (Thomson), two nieces Beth Ann Romeo and husband Dale, Nancy Jo Zeoli, and husband Sam, and additionally two nephews Robert D. Mitchell and wife Dianne, and James T. Mitchell.

Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
